Barbecued Lamb Shanks

  • Ingredients:

  • 4 lamb shanks
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 Tbsp fat or oil
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 Tbsp vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp brown sugar
  • Dash pepper

Dip lamb shanks in flour and salt. Brown in hot fat. Combine catsup, water, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, brown sugar & pepper. Pour mixture over meat. Cover pan & simmer about two hours, or, until meat is tender. (4 servings)
