Chicken Fried Steak

  • Ingredients:

  • Top Round Steak, tenderized 1 time

Cut meat into serving size pieces. On wax paper, salt and pepper meat. Pound flour into meat. Do same on both sides.

Fry quickly in Crisco. Brown well on both sides. Remove meat from pan. Keep warm. Add flour, a little at a time, stir to brown lightly. Slowly add milk, stirring constantly. Add more milk as needed. Add salt & pepper to taste.

Either serve meat and gravy separately or with meat added to gravy.
